    Removing exterior door/framing up
    hello
I want to remove an exterior 36" door/jamb, frame it up for siding on outside, sheetrock/texture paint on inside. Any advice on the outside/framing required? What about putting a little window there? Cut a hole for window size and frame up with 2x4's? I know this might be hard to explain but appreciate it and just do the best you can. Thanks:confused:

Pretty straight forward. Since you have a header for the door the window has one. Just double stud the window jambs and add the double plate for the bottom of the window and cripple studs for the window sill plate. Sheet it in like a new wall and install window. 30 lb felt over OSB and then J channel
