1) K C Strip

2) New York Strip

K C as in Kansas City?
And what do you mean, where do they come from? Kansas City and New York! Or are you talking part of the cow?

The same cut of beef often has different names in different parts of the country. For example, I had never heard of a "Spencer" steak until I moved to Seattle.

(My theory is there was an apprentice butcher named Spencer... I can imagine his boss screaming at him: "Damn it Spencer, you screwed up that entire cow! Now what are we going to do with it?")
