My roommate was tell me about an encounter a family member of hers had had. She said that her grandmother had felt movement on the bed and thought it was my roommate's mom. But when the grandma said something, there was no answer. So she rolled over and saw this blue haze next to her.

I was just curious about the haze. Is it something in particular? Does it mean anything? Does it have an actual name?

I have heard it described as a haze or a mist or a fog... they all are kind of pointing to the possibility of the same thing...

These can be what accurs when an apparition is trying to manifest.

In theory, thye are gathering energy around them when trying to manifest, hence a cold or hot spot... the energy being gathered can then become a ball of energy or a mist, fog, haze...

Not a lot of people believe in spirits... but I do totally. When I was 6 yrs old my mother passed away, few nights after her burial I was about to fall asleep and I remember seeing this greenish glow hover over me and my sister for a few seconds then drifted off. Coincidence she was buried in a greenish dress or NO?
