I reside in WA state and my wife does want to buy a house and I think this is the right time. She will not sign the title deed ot the quit claim deed. I am the only breadwinner of the family and the mortgage will in my name. Will the escrow / bank allow the purchase under these circumstances.

In 1999, my son and I bought my uncle's house (Illinois). My husband wanted nothing to do with it. His name was not on the mortgage papers nor on the deed. Had I died, the house would have become my son's property, and my husband would have had no claim on it.
