Successful Blogging » Blog Archive » How to Disable Delete Browser History in Internet Explorer

or below is a manual registry edit

    Quote:

The key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Control Panel

Set a DWORD value named DisableDeleteBrowsingHistory to 1 in that.

You can also set that under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to disable it for all users also.

Depending on the operating system being used, deleting the browsing history does not dump it into the recycle bin. That is always a good place to check.
Use Window Explorer (right-click on Start) & check the contents of all folders named:
    Temporary internet files
    Cookies
    Temp
    Tmp
