    Mischied Under 5000, immidiate
    Hey
Last month I committed something very stupid. I was driving my friend to a car pool so he can get his car, As we were making a left turn at a stop sign, some girl behind me went nuts and started honking and cut me off by going to the opposite lane(upcoming traffic) and showing me the middle finger in the process. I guess she had some issues or I was going way too slow because if was distracted by the questions my friend was asking. Anyway, I got really pissed off and just a bad rage took over me. And I started following her and she ended up at the same parking lot we were going to. At the gate she pulled down her window and I told her that she's really stupid for doing that and she just said " off, you ing terrorist" and went into the parking lot. By this time I lost it already and was about to punch someone out. So my friend left to get his car and I just got up and walked towards her car and noticing that she had already left, decided to scratch her car and leave her with a surprise. Any how, a couple of days after, I was called down into the security office of my current college in Halifax.(I KNOW, I WAS NOT F**** THINKING :( ).

At this point, the officer pulled out pictures of when she cut me off and asked me if I can help them investigate unsafe driving on campus, by writing that she cut me off on this day and so on. Stuipdly I agreed and wrote that I was driving my car on that day and some one cut me off. At this point the officer got up and said to me that " you F**ed up" and he handcuffed me and said I'm being charged for mischief under 5000. At this point he told me to confess and write it down. I said No and decided to take it to court. I was finger printed and given a court date.
Please tell me how I can get out of this.

Hire the very best most expensive attorney you can.

You are guilty, your attorney will try and keep all the evidence out.

Other than that, he will plea bargain this down

Sorry but I think your stuck...
You allowed her to draw you into her little world of issues and by your own hand your now going to pay for it.

    Sorry bub and good luck.

You I understand I have to get a lawyer, do you think getting free legal aid is good or go with a proper paid lawyer. I mean how serious is this, I know it won't be a criminal record since its under 5000. But I'm a student and I don't have that much money to pay both the lawyer and than at the end, end up paying more for her fees. So I mean, by reviewing my case here, the only evidence they have is that I have written that I was driving my car that day, BUT I wasn't caught in person, just by pictures and assumption
So I duno if there is a chance of getting out or not

You are going to have to pay one way or the other or both on this. Just because she gave you the finger and said something rotten to you that did not give you any "right" to deface her car. You need to pay for the damage to her car and whatever fines you might incur in this incident. Hiring an attorney will just get reduced charges but it will not negate the fact you did destroy her property and you will have to pay to have it painted.

When my son would do bad when he was a kid I would ask him "Well, was it worth it?" So, I'm asking you the same question. Well, was it worth it?

It definitely wasn't, but her insurance will for this, The money we pay every month towards tax and insurance which is all one big company will even out at the end. So we are nothing against this system, we have to buy into it either way, Trust me I study this for years...
But ones incentive is to get out of this to his or her benefit, so you can't blame me for wanting to get out of this, its just human nature,
So either way I am guilty but I'm going to try to not pay for the fee
    That's my goal
And that's what I need help with, that's why there are lawyers
So I'm not here to confess to either I'm guilty or not
I think everyone knows that I am guilty
We are seeking a way of getting out of it

Yes, if they can't find the guilty party then her insurance will pay for this, as a result, her premiums will go up.

This was not an accident, this was a willful act that caused damage to her property, as such, you, not the insurance company, are responsible for compensating her.

This can go one step further. Her insurance company can pay and then come after you for compensation.

You did the crime, now it's time to pay up, not try to get out of it.

Hopefully you'll learn from this and not do it again.

    You I fully understand that
And I have learned my lesson

    My next question is
How legit are pictures from video surveillance to the jury in court?

Depends, what do the pictures show?

If it's you defacing her car, then I'd say your goose is cooked.

    Then you may be screwed.

You need a lawyer, there's really nothing we can do to help.

    Good luck.

Honestly, I think you just need to man-up and make this situation right. You did, by your own admission, cause damage to her car... take responsibility for YOUR actions.

    The problem doesn't stop there
The college student affair wants to set up a meeting which will result in I don't even know what
And I'm really scared, I'm ting my pants, 5 years of studying could go to .

That is understandable and very unfortunate but that does not change what you did... perhaps you should have considered the ramifications of your actions BEFORE you actually did them. The theme song to Beretta words it perfectly... "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time".
