    Popping pelvis?
Haha This is a little hard to describe, but I am just about 8 months along with my third child and I've noticed when I'm laying down with a pillow between my legs, if I sort of squeeze the pillow between my legs (bring my knees together) I feel a popping feeling in my pelvis-in my pubic area. It doesn't hurt and sort of reminds me of popping knuckles but I've never experienced it before and was curious as to what it might be from? I know a woman's hips spread in preparation for childbirth... thought maybe it had something to do with that... :D

I think it is because of your legs spreading. They are are supposed to unhinge sort of so the baby can get through.

Yep... the hormone relaxin allows for some give at the joints of the pelvis. Some women will notice the give of the cartilage at the front of the pelvis.

For some women it can become quite painful, especially when they do movements that cause the area to spread... walking up stairs or getting in and out of bed for example. At that stage it is called SPD, or symphysis pubis disorder... a bit too much "unhinging"... ;)

Although I always felt more unhinged dealing with 2 am feedings!. :)
