    Intuition or what?
I am curious about intuitions, for my entire life, I could be sitting thinking about something and someone will say something in reference to what I am talking about. For example, I could be thinking about going to get a pizza, when someone around me, whether I know them or not will say I want a pizza. I am 33 years old and it seems to have gotten stronger the past few years. I have a friend that was debating if he should go back to school and get his paramedic license. He is currently working as an EMT-Basic, and he lives with his sister. He got into a situation that the place he was renting the property owner decided to sell the house. Anyway, he is 51 and lives with his sister because he was have a hard time finding a place that rents to people with animals. He was thinking about moving out, he knew if he moved out he would have to work at least 40hrs. A week, but he also wanted to school. I had a feeling that he should stay with his sister and return to school. He agreed, and now everything is falling into place for him, he only has to work part-time and he received a full Pell grant and currently holds a 98% in the class. Was I just having an intuition or was it psychic ability or what? I feel good about telling him to pursue his dream as being a paramedic. This is my first time actually telling someone to do what I thought they should do.

Sup.:D In my opinion you sound like a person who just knows what you're talking about. You have a nack for making good decisions and do the right thing by helping others. Keep it cool yo.

You could be right after all I have been knowing this person for 8 years. Maybe I know them better than they know themselves. You know what's funny I am 33 years old and I do not know what I want to do with my life. I am fortunate that because of my husbands job it allows me stay at home. We have been married for 12 years and we have no children at least not yet. We are waiting on devine intervention to bless us, we do not want to go through a lot of fertility doctors and such, we have only been trying for a year and a half. I even have a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, reason why I chose that degree, I could never decide on any other degree. My funds were running out and I was burned out on school. People ask me "what do you see yourself doing as far as careers." Well, duh if I knew that I would be doing it. In the mean time I will just keep taking care of everyone else in my life.

I suspect you are experiencing a series of coincidences and - as suggested above - good intuition and decision making.

    However - :)

You may have "a gift" that has not been fully realized. Individuals with paranormal talents are often confused or afraid of what they are able to do. If you genuinely believe you might have such a talent, you owe it to yourself to try and awaken and develop it.

Yes, good intuition. Many people have many different names for these experiences. Phychics, ESP, Intuition, In my opinion it is all the same thing. You know something. You know your feelings well, your aware of it and share it with others to help them in their life. As well you having these experiances will always help you too. I do not think any of it is acquinces.

If I do have something like that how would I develop my gift, how does one know the difference between a lifetime of coincidences or psychic ability? I have also heard the expression "a women's intuition." I am not sure what to do, any advice?

Like I have said in other posts. Since I was a teenager. I would have dreams that would come true. Some that same day, others a week later, and others years later. I was in the habit of always writing down my dreams. I also know the difference between just regular ordinary dreams and dreams that tell me what is going to happen. I also had many instances where I know something was going to happen with somebody and it would. Personal info about people as well. At first before I got married I would know things about my wife, many different things and she would have no clue how I would know. I can not explain I just know things. I do not need to be told anything, usually know. I would not say it is 100 percent but pretty close. I do believe it as a gift. Especially in your case, it is helping guide other peoples lives in order for all things to fall in place. How did you feel? What feelings came over you? Did it come to you and you knew it was right, no second guessing. I can predict things about places, people and certain circumstances also be able to dream about it too. I would say the best way to develop a gift is to actually focus on it. Meditation is key, I do believe this. When I was young. I prayed lots, and meditated a lot and that would help me relax and open so much that I am able to pick up on things that a lot of other people can not pick up on. You become a receiver of information. The dreams that came true and thoughts and feelings that I know is right. You will always know the difference. You will know for sure whether it is right or not. It is a hard feeling to describe except you know what direction is right. It will come out. If at anytime you have any doubt or any second thoughts then you know it is not one of those experiances.

I think Joe has answered these for you.

Learn to relax yourself, learn to clear your head of all the "noise" of daily life, learn how to focus yourself... There are also many articles you can find on various websites for specific exercizes you can practice to help awaken your mind. You will know when your experience is real, and when it really is just coincidence.

Check out the theory about "universal consciousness" it's the idea that certain ideas and thrends are share across a common collective, for instance you can think of it as how fads get started. Shared consciousness can influnce ideas and people can be thinking about the same thing for no apparent reason.

There's also the possibility that certain triggering effects in your environment initiate programmed responses, where as you see a commercial or cheese and you think pizza and the other person, is also programmed by society to think the same thing as they see the commercial or cheese or whatever the instigating factor may be.
