    Squeaky Dryer
    Appleguy,

I read most of the posts. I am totally up for fixing my dryer. Where do I purchase a kit for a GE model DWLR473ETOWW? The squeak I have is not that loud and it only squeaks when the drum hits a certain spot. But it squeaks pretty consistently. Would that still be the Rear Bearing? I pulled the top off and looked at all sides. The squeak is definitely coming from the back of the drum around the element. There were no lube holes on this model. It has only started doing this in the last two days so I want to fix it ASAP.

    Thanks,
    M

Actually some lubricant placed on the rear drum bearing assembly will make it quiet. If you really want to replace the bearing assembly.

Awesome. I tore it apart this morning, cleaned it out, and lubed the spindle and inner bearing. Put it back together and PRESTO... no squeak. Took about a half hour. Thanks
