You have not been trying to get pregnant for a year if you have only been off the pill for 5 months.
It takes most people at least a year.
When you think about how the timing has to be so perfect ,its amazing it happens as much as it does.
There are many thing you and your husband can do to insure better fertility.

If you have only been off the pill for 5 months, you have only been trying to get pregnant for 5 months. You can't try to get pregnant while on the pill as the pill is supposed to prevent pregnancy.

Now, it can take up to 6 months or more for the pill (depending on what kind you were on) to get out of your system completely.

Many women who were never on the pill take approximately a year of actively trying to get pregnant.

Be patient and let nature take its course.
