I just took off the cap off the idle well; it’s been many years just sitting.
Water gushed out. Even without any pumping. Maybe a good sign?
But the new pump is 1 inch and 1 horsepower instead of the old
Pump which was 1 ½ horsepower and 1 ½ inch piping. I guess I
Will need an adapter reducer to screw into the 1” threading
On the new pump. It will come out of the pump on 1 ½ inch pvc
And then connected to the pump at 1”.

Does that sound correct?

I think you mean it will come out of the WELL at 1 1/2". And yes! It sounds correct to me. Good luck, Tom
