    Straight Salary
I am on straight Salary... which I thought meant even if you work less than or more than you would still receive the same pay. Other workers take off all the time for personnal or sick days and still get the same pay. I was not told when hired that if I took a personnal day that it would be taken out of my check. I work 45 or more hours a week. I took a personnal day for my annivesary which I gave a two weeks notice and two days before my personnal day off they told me that it would be deducted from my check. Is this legal?:confused:and mad

Do you have an employment agreement or contract or a copy of written policy? If you are the only one who does not get paid time off, you have a case against your employer.

Of course, if it's "employment at will" you can be fired for anything and making a fuss will end your employment.

An employer does not have to give paid time off at all. But if it allows it, there has to be a set policy.

Straight Salary does not mean you can't be docked for days where you don't work, you can't be docked for partial days but if you don't show up at all...
