Computer types wrong letters after getting beer spilled on it?
My laptop got beer spilled on it just a little bit and we turned it off right away, everything works fine except for some of the keys think they are the wrong thing like the M key types a number 6 and a few of them are mixed up, what do I do? They keys still work they just type the wrong thing. Can I just reprogram it some how to type
    The right letter? Thanks

    Hi, sg2oo3!

I've ruined a number of keyboards by accidentally spilling drinks on them. Usually, I just buy another keyboard because I have desktop computers. Depending on the type of laptop you have, there may be a way to take it apart to clean it up though.

What kind do you have and how long ago did this happen, please?

    Thanks!

You should call the manufacturer of your laptop and see if the keyboard can be replaced. A lot of laptop keyboards can't. Did you try using a hairdryer to dry it? You can also try troubleshooting it by clicking on the control panel in the start menu. Then click on the keyboard icon and click on the hardware tab then troubleshoot.

You can purchase new keyboards for most laptops. Google "laptop keyboards" and you should find several resources. You can also remove each key and clean with alcohol, though this takes a lot of time and patience and is not guaranteed to work.

You can indeed. Just hit the Num Lock key and, like magic, the keys will type letters again.
