    wat would be the possible dangers if ammeter was connected parallel across an element?

    1. The internal resistance of the ammeter may be too low for the applied voltage and you could pass too much current through the ammeter -- and destroy the ammeter.

    2. You might also cause a fire from the "flash" that might occur.

    Most high quality ammeters are protected against very high voltages the most common result is that a fuse is blown. Nevertheless, the potential for problems is there.
