    Ohms range
I have a Kenmore gas dryer. It is 110v. Everything operates except for the heat. I checked the ohms read out on the ignitor but was unsure of what is proper. I am getting 90.3 on my meter. What should I expect to see if it a good ignitor?

    Model: 110.74852400
    Ignitor part number: 279.311

    Thanks

I am assuming that you are talking about a hot surface ignitor, if not disregard what I say.

A better way to check the ignitor is to check the voltage in the two wires that connect to the ignitor. If you get the 120 volts and the ignitor does not glow it almost has to be a bad ignitor.
