    Fell asleep during sex!
Last night my boyfriend fell asleep on top of me ( I mean snoring) while we were doing it. After about 5 min, he woke back up and kept going. Is this normal? I'm guessing its not too bug of a deal, but I just wanted to check. Has anyone else experienced this?

My partner works night shift so he gets tired a lot.
This happens to me on occasion, it's rather funny when he falls asleep on top of me then about 5 mintues later he suddenly wakes up and starts going at it again like he was never asleep... the snoring and the dead weight on top of me is a bit of a give away!

Has he ever been checked for a sleeping disorder?

It's very normal, especially if he's been experiencing stress or lack of sleep due to overwork, illness, etc. Interestingly, having sex can be very calming and relaxing, thus allowing the person to get to sleep more easily and more deeply than without it.

Man, I don't know who you've been sleeping with but its NOT durnal to doze off DURING sex. Afterwards maybe, but not DURING the act, and we are talking about DURING the act as per the OP's original post.

I do know two people with this disorder (Narcolepsy) both would doze off in the middle of whatever, driving a car, talking... anything. One was lucky to walk away from a very serious car accident when he just blacked out percipitating the crash... thats when he learned he had the disorder.

I think it just depends on the man because I know my current boyfriend would never fall asleep during sex, he's doing too much and working too much, but my ex fiancé has fallen asleep during sex. Well it was some rather boring sex... I'm guessing you were having boring sex...

    Oh well thanks guys.. lol
I was hoping it wasn't boring sex, but it was basic missionary

He was saying that he was very tired right before; but what constitutes boring sex anyway?; unless costumes, whips and chains or crazy positions is the only way to not have boring sex...

I've had horrible boring sex before... you know the coyote ugly joke, where you gnaw your arm off rather than wake her up? I never fell asleep even during that.

Tired or not... people don't fall assleep having sex... it just ain't normal.

Not really... iget on top sometimes & then he gets on top afterwards. Sometimes we do it doggystyle. I tried reverse doggystyle for a short time but I wasn't sure if I was doing it right or getting him off so I stopped.

We do it pretty frequently I think... ranging from every other day to 3-4 times a week.

That's why I was so surprised that he fell asleep like that for that short time like he did.

Sadly, that has happened to me. He'd had too much to drink, and thought he was 25 years younger than he really was.

Kia, is this the first time this has happened? How long have you two been together? Is he getting enough sleep at night?

No, it really isn't normal for a guy to fall asleep during sex, nap for 5 minutes, wake up and keep going like nothing happened.

Time for him to see a doctor!

We live together & have been together for a year and yes this is the first time. When we do it sometimes he rests for a minute or two in a position and then starts going again. But this was the first time he's dozed off.. lol

What were you doing for the five minutes, that is a long time? Especially to be under someone weight... I would have rolled him off me by then.

I am more amazed that he kept his erection during his snooze off.

Maybe this is a sign you should spice your sex life up a bit. It sounds kind of routine.

What is he tried from, does he work a lot? Did he drink? Is he on any medication? Did he do drugs?

There are so many ways that would contribute to what happened.

I really don't think it's normal; how do you go from thrusting to snoring some z's? Was it gradually slowing or just a big ole man falling on top of you?

Well he does drink, and smoke cigarrettes. I guess it does mean we need to spice it up

I just got to figure out how
