Legal age a child can choose which parent to live with
Hi , I'm a father in Illinois in need of help . My son lives in Minnesota and will be 16 in June. Me and his mother divorced 8 years ago and since have both remarried. During his time in Minnesota he has been in some trouble but nothing involving the police. He has matured a great deal in the last year and has called me on several occasions almost pleading with me to move here in Illinois. My question is what is the legal age in his state that a child can decide which parent he would prefer to live with.

If you go to court and request a change of custody, they MAY listen to his request and opinion but ultimately it will be up to the court to decide.
