    Travertine Tile in Shower
A friend just had travertine tile installed in a walk-in shower. The tile his many holes, which is a characteristic of travertine. Should the holes be filled? With what? It looks good, but doesn't seem practical, since water will accumulate in those holes. What should she do? Thanks.

What the heck was she thinking? And who agreed to install it for her?

Are the tiles called 'tumbled" travertine or marble? What size are the tiles?

It's bad enough to use honed & filled travertine in showers, but this just isn't going to work out very well. Since the tiles were already installed, BUT you say they have holes, I guess that means the job hasn't been grouted yet?

    Please tell me more

    Jaz
