I sponsor my wife to come o USA and she received an IR1 Visa. She came to New York State but she never come to live with me she went to another place that I don't now. My question is I will be help responseble to support her?Having in my that she abandoned me.

My wife received an IR1 visa and she abandoned me and I drew the petion. Will she be deport it to her country and how long will it take?

I didn't see this one when I replied to your other question. This may be another story. Technically she is safe but if you can file annulment and succeed, she won't be able to maintain her status.

What can I do to annulment her visa? I already call American consulate in Dom.Rep where she got the visa and I also sent a letter to ICE. The american counselor putted in her files that I drop the petion, but I don't have any proof of that. What else can I do?


My 2nd question is : I have to support her ?

Do I have to go to a layer for a legal abandoned?

Not really... immigration's affidavit of support means in case she receives any welfare, the government will come after you.

You need to get a family law attorney to file annulment. If succeed, it simply means marriage never happened, and so did her immigration status. If not, the alternative is filing for a divorce, then she can be on her own, stay in US, etc.

My ex wife used me for a visa(ir1). She came to NYS for firs time and never came tu my house and now she wants a spousal support.


What can I do? Should I go to court and tell them that she abandoned me?:confused::confused:

You need a family law attorney, a good one. You may overturn the case by proving you're being used since she's never come to you when she entered US, etc.
