"Usually" it's simply a garnishment of salary - but real property of any sort can and sometimes is liened in NY.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Are you trying to collect support or wondering how it will be collected from you? It would help to know your general location.

It usually helps if a) you answer the questions we ask so we have enough info to help you and b) you give us a fuller explanation.

Generally, a child support collection agency will garnish a payee's salary. They will also attach cash assets like tax refunds and bank accounts to satisfy arrears. Its rare that they will go after personal property.
