Where it is waking me up in the morning and at first thought it was the wood blinds hitting the windows.
I have checked out the attic and the exterior side of the house for the root of the noise but as of yet, haven't found the cause. Any idea on what this could be?

Does it do it when you are running water?

No.

So far, we've eliminated water hammer.
