Do soy products interfere with thyroid medication and functioning? If so, did prior use of soy cause irreversible damage?

Any time you are taking prescription medications it is important to speak with your doctor before taking any type of supplement! To my knowledge soy should not interfer with a thyroid medication and would most definitely not cause actual damage to the thyroid. If you are having problems that are related to your thyroid you may need an adjustment in your medication and should see your doctor immediately.

Sorry to disagree but soy is a detriment to all people who have hypothyroidism. Please go to this site and read all about the soybean. Just because some doctor or anyone else tells you this is good for you-look it up yourself.
