    2000 Yamaha Bear Tracker
I have a 2000 Yamaha Beartracker 250cc. I just cleaned the carb and all jets are clean and spotless. The machine is running fine but after riding it and putting it in neutral the motor idles up real high. The throtle cable is not sticking nor is their a vacuum leak. I have spryed the complete carb, exhaust and both boots coming from the air box and going to the intake down with WD-40 and no leaks. When I got the machine last week, it would not run at all.

Check you choke linkage too to see if the choke is partially still engaged, this happened to my Kawasaki Mule. It looked fine but in fact was in partial choke.

See if you can remove Air filter, check that choke opens to full, then look in carb throat and see if when throttle is relaxed, it is near closed, then see if you can move by hand a little more closed to see if the throttle is binding and keeping throttle from closing.
While your at it, ckeck that when throttle is set to full, butterfly is perpendicular to bore(wide open).
