Does anyone know what David Rothenberg is doing now? He was a 6 year old boy who was set on fire by his father in 1983 after him and his mother were divorced. He survived but suffered third-degree burns to 90 percent of his body. His father Charles was sentenced to 13 years, but was released after serving only about 6 1/2 years. His mother Marie wrote a book about it in 1984 and a TV movie was made in 1988 starring Bernadette Peters and Dan Lauria from Wonder Years. Both were good but very disturbing. I heard he was finally sentenced to 25 years two years ago thanks to California's 3 strikes law for unrelated weapons and other charges. He should have gotten life for something so horrible, especially since he had been a career criminal since the 50s. David now calls himself Dave and has appeared on Bold and the Beautiful in 1997 and on a talk show about 3 or 4 years ago. I heard he even met his father in jail around 1996, hard to believe. I heard some sketchy reports that him and his mother are no longer on speaking terms which is sad considering all that she has done for him. If anyone has any updates on his life and family situation, I would like to know. What a brave guy, I salute him.

IRVING, Texas -- Twenty-two volunteers, plucked from a crowd of 800 packed into a room at the stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play, are assembling in a formation that looks something like opposing football teams.

Dave Rothenberg, a local sports broadcaster and expert on the game, is onstage with the volunteers, delivering a lesson on the roles of each player, when he stops abruptly as he comes to a woman wearing a green dress. She is inappropriately attired for the position she has chosen -- the guy who snaps the ball to the quarterback. Rothenberg is momentarily jarred.

"The center, under normal circumstances, bends over," he says. The volunteer is spared embarrassment, but Rothenberg...

I looked into it but it wasn't him, he dropped Rothenberg many years ago and now just goes by Dave, Thanks anyway. I last saw him in 2004 or 2005, pretty sure it was on the now cancelled Jane Pauley show. He seems happy and doing well, good for him. I wanted to know about the rumors that he no longer talks to his mother because I find it very hard to believe. She practically lived at the hospital while he recovered and took great care of him for many years and operations later. He really owes her his life and wouldn't be alive without her.

Update on David Rothenberg, or Dave Dave as he now calls himself. He has a myspace page at Dave Dave on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads. He has pictures of himself and says he lives in Provo, Utah. I've seen him on talkshows before, so I'm sure the pictures are legit. I tried to send him a message, but he only allows people who know him personally to talk to him. Poor guy still has a lot of scars but he seems happy. Still no info about rumors of him not talking to his mother anymore or being involved with a goth subculture, although some of his photos and friends appear to be goth types.

He was just on Larry King Live about a month or two ago to talk about the death of Michael Jackson because they met after he was burned so you could try going to CNN.com and maybe try looking up the video for it or even YouTube maybe.

David Rothenberg or David David or Dave Dave on the Larry King Show AND on the Leeza Show is nobody less than Michael Jackson.
Proof on Youtube and even a dog can see that but only if you know it, because I saw Larry King to with Dave Dave and the only thing that I tought was "what a strange guy", but now I know why.

Look mr not notice

At the Leeza show witch you can see on YouTube, you can see and hear that it's MJ
Look at his eyes( if you are a fan, you should see that these are MJ's eyes), and when you look carefully, you see that he cannot close his eyes all the way when he blinks.
That is not from the operations but from the rubber mask.
Look at his neck, in the middle it's all wrinkled, and the site is smooth plus you can see at one point that the rubber neck is pulling to a thin string, don't know how to explain.
His bottomlip is verry thick, and his teeth are very white to.
At the end he puls a face like " i fooled you all".
At the Larry King show it's a total different David (MJ)
At one point his hand are being altert and you can see that very clear, the twisting on his arms etc
When Larry king starts, you see Dave (MJ) lowering himself, it's like he wants to crawl under the table, because he's afraid getting indentified, look at his face.
Look at his suit, it's way to BIG

I saw the movie "David" has a small child myself and for what ever resond I have never forgotte about the movie. People need too thank before they speak he is who he is he did not ask for what happen too him. I will always hold a place in my heart for David. I cry every time I thank about the movie . So Dave if you ever see this I love and adore you and wish you nothine but the best. And too your mom she has too be the strongest person I have ever seen to have to deal with that happen to her only child. I have two kids of my own now and I don't know how I could have live with myself if that happen to me and my two girls. Love you Dave were ever u are keep fighting and stay strong.missjbtheboss:-)

And for every body that what's too talk about the way he looks now my be you should all go too YouTube and look at his move. Before you talk about him he was a very cuttie little boy and you watch how his father did what he did and you tell me if you think his anything else than a wonderful person. Put yourself in his shoes if you look at that movie one time you will never be the same that's if you have a heart. He was just a baby and I have two small kids of my own and if there father did what his father did I would never be the same. Just think about that before you juge because that could be any one of your kids!:O
