I was a renter for 2 years paying $1200.00 a month and last July 08 the owner said that he was giving the home to his daughter (who had gotten married) but that things would not change regarding my renters status. Well on March 3, 2009 he handed me a 30 day notice. Well after doing a bit of investigating I found out that he had FHA loan and was renting to me for the past 2 years (I wondered why I was still getting all of their mail). I also found out that the house went through a short sale (Nov 2008) and was not given to his daughter but purchased by his son-in- law (which is fraud because he is married to his daughter) and I was still paying him rent to previous owner up until March 2009. As a renter what am I entitled to if anything?
