    New Unit-Thermostat Light
I purchased a new Goodman 4 ton Heat Pump Packaged Unit last week. It is installed and running great. On my thermostat, I have 3 lights. Emergency Light, Heat Light, and AUX Light. The AUX light is constantly on, when the unit is running or not. I turn the heat on and the heat light will come on and the same when I switch it to Emergency mode, the emergency light will come on. Heats OK and cools OK. Just that the AUX is constantly on. Is this normal?

    Thanks

    Need a little more info,

Is the aux heat gas oil or electric,
Also is there an outdoor thermostat?

Did the installer explain the opperations and test all the functions?

It is a electric unit. It has the heat pump and the 10K heat strip. There is no outdoor thermostat. The installer did explain and tested.

It is the same thermostat as I had on the old unit (heat pump unit as well.) We replaced the unit only, with a new 4-ton packaged unit. I never noticed the AUX light on before.

The thermostat has 3 lights, Emergency light, Heat light & AUX light.
