I have like a 5 hp horizontal motor that is on a rochester sickle mower and I have replaced the plug wire and took emery cloth to the magneto and when I don't have a spark plug on it and stick it to a blot it doesn't have much spark but a little and then when I put a plug on it it doesn't have any at all nothing. Can anyone help Thanks

The capacitor is the cause of the high voltage. Replace it.

Spark in atmosphere will be smaller than the spark within the engine. Keep that in mind.

You it doesn't have any spark and I have tested the plugs in another motor and they all work and I have hooked it up to a drill and turned it over and have no sparking thus resulting in no working engine
