Can an ex-cocaine dealer with a felon from the late 80s own a medical business if he is not a doctor, but the boss of several?
I believe they can, although they may have problems getting paid though medicare, they have some laws on the restriction of anyone with a felony to have access to any of the patient records or contract with any patients.
He perhaps could be a share owner of a corporation, but not have any active role in the management of it.
Hello:
If an exconvict can own a business, he can own it ANYWHERE.

The law ( not really law as much as medicare rules) if the medical practice does not want to treat anyone that is covered by medicare, it may not be a problem, The issue has more to do with receiving payments from medicare.
We had a wheel chair delivery company basically, I was not allowed to have any employee that would have contact with the customer, or have any contact with their record that had any felony. So even the boy that sweep the floor, if he worked when customers was there, could not have a felonly on his record.
I knew a few offices that had a mechanic in the back with a record, and they lost their medicare certification and /or got a warning they would lose them, unless that employee was replaced.
You will also have issues ( and this is state specific) with getting your board of pharamcy license, if you have Oxygen and use it within your building.
