Symmons Temptrol tub and bath faucet leaking
I have a Symmons Temptrol tub and bath faucet which is leaking at the handle.
It is 20 years old and I suspect that the cartridge needs replacing.
Do I remove the handle first and then the plate which is held by two screws?
Where is the cartridge located? Is there some literature that will describe a step by step procedure to do this.

I can't give you a "step by step" but here's a cutaway of your faucet. Good luck, Tom

    Alimden:

If you look at Tom's picture you will see part # T-17. This is a bonnet packing nut... here, you will want to remove the handle and tighten that packing nut a 1/4 turn or so and that should stop the leaking at the handle.

Otherwise, if you wantto replace the cartridge you can see how to access using the pic. Above.

Let us know if you need more info...
