Faucet polluted? L(live in apt.-do not use dishwasher)
Thank You for any help!
If your apartment complex's on city water I would expect that the city opened up the street main for service and some sand got in the pipes where it was sucked up into your apartment. If you had a problem all your aerators would be clogged. I don't believe your faucets are polluted and if you clean out your dishwasher sump I think it would be OK to use it. Good luck, Tom
Not necessarily: Remove sand and see if it reappears in few days.
It may be that somebody before you washed a dish with sand residue on it. It may be there for some time now...
Besides, dishwashers have filter screens. Unless that screen was removed, sand should not enter with water supply...
So Milo, Not necessary what? Good follow up on how the sand got into the dishwasher. Sonds more likely then mine. Now answer the question.
. And can they use the dishwasher? Regards, TomQuote:
is water from kitchen & bath faucet polluted?
Oooops... Tom, indeed, you are correct...
I was referring to presence of sand in dishwasher missing the core of the question...
Thanks for bringing it up to my attention..
