Could I be pregnant?

For the last two periods I have had a 35 day cycle. This month on day 18 of my cycle when I wiped there was a little bit of blood and a muscus type discharge. This only happened once. The next day I spotted a bit of brown but only when I wiped and I think it was only once. The day after that nothing but the day after that I spotted some pink discharge only when I wiped. The spotting was pink and brown but only when I wiped not on my panties-it lasted a total of seven days. Since then I have had a bit of an upset stomach and more frequent headaches. My period is still six days away so it's too early to test. We have been trying to get pregnant since last June so we have been having unprotected sex. We have been living together for nine years. I have also been having some cramping since my period last month which was very light and pink blood not red. I had an ultrasound done and I am still waiting for the results for the doctor to look at it but the nurse did say on the phone that I have an ovarian cyst in my left ovary. Could this be causing the spotting and cramping? Or could the spotting be from ovulation or implantation? Thanks;)

Spotting and cramping could be from any of those possibilities. See what happens with your period and try a test if need be.

Nothing needs to be done with most cysts unless they start to cause you some problems. They usually clear on their own. If you aren't pregnant, and the cramping and spotting continues, your doctor may at some point suggest removing the cyst.

Thank you. I have also been having pretty bad headaches and an upset stomach every day since the spotting. And I have been having trouble going #2-it seems like I either have the runs or I cannot go at all. I am also still having cramps which could just be from the ovarian cyst but they are cramps on both sides and my back hurts. Could all this just be pms?

Today I took an early pregnancy test which was negative-it's three days before I expect my period. I did'nt use FMU because I forgot until later to test. I used my second urine. Later when I went to the batheroom there was one spot of blood of the tissue when I wiped. There has'nt been any since-could this have been implantation bleeding?

Again, pregnancy, implantation, infection somewhere, pms, could all be possibilities.

It may be that your period is going to start so see what happens this week and try another test maybe Saturday or Sunday morning if no period.

If you miss your first morning urine, then wait another day rather then use the test for an inaccurate reading.

Today is day 35 of my cycle-no period yet nothing. Maybe it is just late? If I don't get it in the morning I have some bloodwork that needs to be done maybe I will ask them to do a urine pregnancy test. I did another first response yesterday but not with first morning urine-it was negative. It just seems really hard to do it first thing in the morning when I had to go so badly. I was supposed to get my period today so I don't know what to think.
