How long is the statue of limitations on a felony charge? Will it go to a grand jury or what?

Statutes differ between the states and the charges... Some prosecutors have enough "information" to bring charges without having to go to the grand jury. Some don't.

However, you should know that once charges are brought, the statute of limitations ends.
