I have a combi boiler that provides all the hot water to the house, but, the shower this morning was cold and continues to run cold whilst all the hot water taps in the house are running hot...

Brand name of the shower valve? How old? One handle or two knobs? Let me know. Tom

It is likely that you have blockage in the hot inlet of your shower mixer valve. You need to try to answer Tom's questions before any detailed fix can be given.
