    Can I claim F1 Visa brother as dependent?
    I am an US citizen and my wife US resident. My brother in law is on a F1 visa since 06. Since we support him, can we claim his as a dependent for tax?

    F1 student is exempt from residency for 5 years. A dependent must be a U.S. citizen or resident.
