Please suggest me whether Australia or US is best to do Master's depending on the present situation?

They both have really good schools, so it really depends what you want to do and where you can get a visa to.
The US I think may have stricter guide lines when it comes to visas.
Another thing to consider is which is closer to your home country. If you're in Western Europe the US is probably closer, but if you're in Asia, Australia is probably closer.
A good thing to do would to be look at schools in both countries so that if you can't get a visa for one or don't get in to a programme there then you always have a back up plan.
Since I live in the US I'm kind of partial to my own country; that being said pick the U.S. But at the same time I would love to go to Australia too.
As I was saying your best bet would to be look at schools in both and then pick after you get in (worst comes to worse, you can flip a coin).

What will your Masters be in? That can be a deciding factor as well.

I am interested in Master's in electrical engineering...
I am telling you people what my problem is... I did my Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical engg n initially I planned to do MS in US,as such I did my GRE n TOEFL exams well applied to Universities in USA n got I20s from the univs Rochester Institute of tech,University of Texas at Elpaso,Old Dominion University,Florida Institute of Tech.At the moment I got the I20s from these my friends and colleagues suggested that due to present financial crisis it would not be a best decision to do MS in US and moreover Mr.Obama declared that there will be no outsourcing in US,so I got in to quandary that what happens if I didn't get a job there after the completion of MS.

Now I applied to University of Western Australia and got offer with 25%fee reduction scholarship based on my previous academic credentials.

So I am here to request you experts to suggest me the right path.

There is never a guarantee of a job after you complete your degree, regardless of where you obtain it from. If you think you might like to try and find work in Austraila after you are done, that would likely be the best place to go. If it is in the US where you hope to maybe stay, then go there. Obviously cost can be an issue as well.

There is a strong possibility that you would have to return to where you are from and look for work there. Do you know if a degree from one location would be seen as more desirable than one from the other? That might be what you have to consider the most as many locations are experiencing setbacks due to the financial crisis and jobs are not easy to come by, even for many with a Master's degree.

Apparently wherever you complete your master, I assume you would like to stay and reside in that country for some time. So which country do you prefer. Which is closer to your country or origin? I think australia may be best cause you get a discount on the tuition. I live in Canada and I'm still paying off my student loans from my undergrad degree and currently working on my master, I wish I had a discount on my tuition.

Is that for everyone or Australian citizens only?
