Hi,
I'm currently in UK for few years and have an international driving licence issued from Sri Lanka. Since international licences are valid only for one year I'm interested in getting a proper UK licence which will allow me to drive a vehicle legally, during my stay.

If would be much appreciated if some one can tell me the correct way to get one.

You may want to consider lessons as even though you may have been driving for awhile, the UK test is pretty stringent. While many pass on their first attempt, many others do not... even if they have been driving for years.
