Insert BLANK comments in Excel 2007
Every time I right click to put a comment in my Excel spreadsheets, my name and a colon is inserted in the comment. Since all my worksheets are my own comments, I have to erase my name and the colon before I ad my comment for that particular cell.

Is there any way I can open "insert comment" and have a blank comment screen without having my name entered into the comment which I erase each time?

    Thank you in advance!

If you go to Tools/Options/General and in the Username box put just a space you will get a Comment Box with only a colon in it.

I don't use Excel 2007, so you will have to locate the Tools where ever they've hidden them.

    Thanks JB..

FYI, To get to the Excel Options you hit the Microsoft Button on the top left hand side after you open Excel 2007 as if you were going to save a file. The Excel Option button is located on the bottom bar to the right. Once I found the option button everything you told me worked great. I can live with the Colon in my comment.
