I NEED HELP!!
I died my long red hair the day before Halloween last year BLACK and it was temporary die and it WILL NOT come out!:mad: what should I do it has faded some to a dark brown but now I have long roots and my hair looks horrible plus prom is coming up in about a month and a half and I do not want funky hair for that.

Sometimes that temporary hair color really grabs. If you're nervous about coloring your own hair again, go to the beauty shop and let them dye it. Maybe they can pick a shade that looks like your natural hair color.

Cheriedow2006's suggestion is a good idea.

I'm going to bet that your red hair was dyed and that the temporary dye is absorbing strongly onto your porous hair. That's actually pretty common.

You can use color remover to get rid of the black (ColorFix, for example), and then re-dye.

If you're not quite sure what you're doing here, go to a salon.
