    Drugs test human rights parenting
I was investigated for drugs use following the birth of my daughter due to an allegation made. Social services closed the case satisfied that the allegation was wrong. It had come from a memer of my family who is quite unwell and contines to cause problems in my hoe life.

The social services have since had another annoymous call and so want to do a drug test. They said the person said I was an unfit mother. Any fool can see that this is far from the truth. Can they make me do a test? Are they infrigeing on my human rights? Considering they know the situation, have seen the baby and all doctors and health professionals are happy with mine and her progress. Does one phone call in an already closed case warrant invading my privacy all over again?

Yes, they can make you do a test if they consider you a threat to your child or an unfit parent. What human right do you believe they are infringing on? You mean your constitutional rights? Ive read them and I am pretty sure there is not one that says that you have a right to do drugs. They have probable cause to test you.

Its probably not a call to a closed case. Its entirely possible it's a new case.

Are you on drugs? If so, they certainly have reason to test you. If not, this is just a minor annoyance and who cares.

If you're not using and haven't used, I don't see the problem taking the test. It will show the truth and end all of this.

This is the course of action I am taking, there is obviously no need to create more of a problem.

But in answer to the first persons response. This is exactly why I feel my rights have been infringed because it makes people question me. The case had already been closed, I do not think that they had the right to invade my personal life again.

If there is a complaint which is taken seriously, they have every right to question/test you again. People post all the time that CPS never, ever gets off their back.

If, on the other hand, somebody, somewhere is pulling your name out of a hat (not pulling your name out of a bunch of other names, randomly), yes, I agree it's a violation of your rights.

Unfortunately this is what you have to go through once there's been a case opened.
