    This depends on where you live and the wattage of your heater. I have 2 homes and the electric rate at one place is triple that of the other. Can you tell us more? Is the heater already installed or are you just in the market at this point? NG or LP is much cheaper when heating water.

    There are a lot of unknown variables in your question.

    What's the average outdoor temp during the season you plan to heat?

    What's the amperage draw on the heater?

    What's the BTU of the heater?

    220 or 110v?

    How much does your power company charge per KWh?
