    Hunter Fan Wiring
We have a remote controlled fan in our loft. When we have the fan on at night the light will come on and the fan will shut off without us ever touching the remote. The only way to reset the fan is to get up and turn the switch off at the wall. We have also had the speed of the fan change on its own. Is it possible that we have a bad receiver? We wired two switches at the wall if we wanted to run the fan and lights separate but your manual doesn't tell us how to wire the fan and lights and bypass the receiver. Is this possible? Thank you in advance for a resolution to this problem.

Try changing the frequency of the fan and remote. Your receiver is picking up some other RF signals. See:
