    Toilet drain
I have been trying to install a new toilet in the basement and am unable to remove the bolts from the cast iron drain pipe.. Is there a way I can remove the entire drain and replace it with a new PVC drain or get a insert that will fit over the 4 inch drain.

Let's get together on terms. What are you calling "the drain"? The flange? The cast iron closet bend? What do you wish to convert to PVC? The closet flange or the closet bend? When we have a problem with stubborn closet bolts we take a hacksaw blade, wrap a rag around it for a handle and saw those suckers right out. Please clarify you question. Regards, Tom

By drain I mean the flange. When you cut off the bolts you still need some kind of an adaptor to install the new toilet. Is there such a thing?

What's wrong with the present cast iron flange? Tom
