    The pill.
Where can I get it without my parents knowing? I'm 15 bu the way.
I'm not sexually active but my friend is and she takes it. She said its taken away her period totally and I know that doesn't happen to anyone but I get bad cramps and I hear it can reduce that. I'm not telling my mum because we don't have the best relationship and she'll use it against me somehow.

    Thanks.

First of all, I think you should talk to your parents, but I will answer your question.

I'm not sure what country you are in, but we have Planned Parenthood here(US). Where you can get on the pill without parental consent. There should be clinics in your area where you can do the same. Call a clinic in your area and ask them. There are some BC pills(Jolessa aka Seasonelle) Where you have only 4 periods a year. There are also others that make your period last about 3 days.

Check with your local clinic, they can give you the best advice.

I agree... would be wise to speak to your parents, letting them know you have very painful periods and that you would like to see your gp about it. You can then discuss it with your gp and the possibility of birth control pills can be mentioned.
You can also look into some of the family planning locations in Belfast... there are a few that offer support specifically for teens and young adults.

    Thanks muchly!
I don't know if I'll go just yet..
And to the whole parent thing, I'm not telling my dad, dang that would be awkward and I've explained about my mum.

If painful periods are an issue then the Pill does not have to be the answer.

There are potential future health issues regarding taking the contraceptive pill at a young age.

A much healthier alternative for painful periods is Chinese medicine (you'd have to visit a doctor that practices traditional Chinese medicine) or taking a product available from your pharmacy called naprogesic (In Australia that's what it's called).

You should tell her even if you two r not getting along that well but you could also talk to you aunt or a favorite teacher. Its just an idea?
