I just got a 5 year old female boxer she is a great smart dog the only problem with her is when she eats she gets food EVERYWHERE!! Shell take it out of her bowel and put it on the floor, and its not just a little bit it a whole lot!! What can I do to break this??

I trust you mean she takes it out of her BOWL and throws it everywhere - ? Pricelss typo.

My dog eats the same way - first she takes it off the plate, then she puts it on the throw rug, then she eats every scrap. I've tried different bowls, different plates, makes no difference.

I bought a few inexpensive throw rugs and wash them every few days.

I had a dog that always drank with her front paw in the water bowl, sort of testing the depth. Smaller bowl, she wouldn't drink. I found her amusing but wasn't terribly amused by the one paw print wet marks on the floor.
