Thin, poker straight oily hair.I'd like to grow longer and thicken.
I'm almost 30, and for years I have had very thin hair all over... it's poker straight and it's oily, all in all not a pretty combination. I wash my hair daily with a shampoo and conditioner (because if I don't, even when I put NOTHING in my hair, it look like I'm a dirt ball and haven't washed for a week), put in a leave in crème when I blowdry (when I want extra volume ONLY) with a HUGE round brush... it's actually pretty healthy (I keep it dyed black right now, am contemplating SOME other color... waiting an answer on that lol)i keep it short because it looks fuller... but I'd love to grow it out... my question is, does anyone know of anything I can do to make my hair thicken up that doesn't involve oils... could it be in relation to a thyroid problem by any chance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Forgot to say... though I've been dying my hair for quite some time, my hair began to get thin in about 8th or 9th grade,, 13 or 14. Before I ever chemically processed my hair in ANY way.
