Wiring instructions for 240 volt pool pump timer
Can you supply wiring diagram for a 240 volt timer for swimming pool pump. The wire from the pump (240 volt) one black, one white and one green. I assume both the black and whit are load and should be connected to the two load terminals on the timer. Is this correct?

Yes the 2 connect to load side, 240 volt supply connects to line. Be sure grounds are intact and continious.
Be sure pump is ready for 240 volts.
Edit, just saw this is an old post. Hope the one time poster is OK.

Sorry. We don't answer pool questions in January when it is 13 degrees outside. Our brains cannot comprehend the subject.
    Well, maybe Strat's can.

OK, seriously. Yes, the two lines from the pump will be LOAD. The two hots from the feed will be LINE.

I am concerned about something. Why do you have a black and a white. It has been a VERY long time since cable was allowed to be used to feed a pool pump. You MUST use conduit and conductors.
    How is this pump wired?

Stan, post is from March 2009. Strat realized it was an old post after he answered. Must be too cold in Fla also. Poor bastard, it is in the 70's there at the south tip of Fla.

I would like Al Gore to come up here and explain how that global warming works to me, when will it arrive.
