    Thinking about dyeing hair again.
    Hiya,
A few months ago I had my hair permanently dyed at the hairdressers but now its fading to a gingery colour. I really want my natural hair colour back, so I'm waiting for the dye to grow out (I know, I've got a long wait ahead of me). I was thinking about dyeing my hair with a semi permanent colour so I don't have to put up with the ginger colour, but I can still let it grow out, if you get me? Not sure if this works, but when the semi permanent colour fades, will I still be left with my roots growing through?

Semi permanent hair color is suitable for anyone who may be reluctant to use permanent colors. Semi-permanent color washes out out in 6-12 shampoos, depending on the porosity of the hair. When it washes out and the roots start to show, you may re-apply a semi-permanent color while you are growing your hair out.

Hm OK, but when I do wash it and it starts to fade, does it go a weird colour?

Semi-permanent color penetrates the hair only slightly. It won't harm the hair or make it look weird, however, you will see the color fade with each shampoo. It is designed to stain the outside of the hair and enhance, brighten or darken your natural color. Semi-permanent lasts only 6 to 8 shampoos, but sometimes it can take longer to wash out, especially if you use a black semi-permanent dye.

Hmmm OK thanks for the advice. I'll pop into the hairdressers tomorrow and see what they think I should do. Once again, thanks for the help xxx:)
