Support for a one night stand child?
Before my husband and I were together, he had a one night stand with my cousin. She became pregnant. He told her he did not want the child and even offered to pay for an abortion, give her a ride to the hospital and back. She said no. She said she wanted to keep the baby and that she would "never" bother him about it, "never" ask for money and that their "secret " goes to the grave with them. A few months after she had the baby, she started bugging for money and even threatened to tell everybody. He started to pay her every two weeks whenever he got paid. And now, we've been served support papers by her to pay child support... even though she promised she would never ask. Now, if we have the letters stating her "promises" and blackmail letters, do we have a chance in court not to pay child support for a child she clearly knew he wanted nothing to do with?

    One night stand?
If a woman got pregnant from a one night stand, then went after the guy for child support knowing he wanted nothing to do with the child entitled to child support? And, if the guy had proof in writing that she promised never to bother him about this child, or ask for money, and then blackmailing him for money... would he have a case in court to fight these child support payments?

No. You play you pay. I assume you're an adult and you know how babies are made. Well the fact that you made one obligates you to that child.

Not a chance. Support is for the welfare of the child. A mother cannot give up support and promises she makes, even signing a formal contract, would have no legal standing.

Your husband is the father and is partially respnsible for the chld and will have to pay support.

Not a chance, in fact unless he has proof that that he paid her before, he may even have to repay for back support.

The mother can not sign or give away her rights to collect for the child, the fathers obligations.

So they need to be nice and working together to come up with a payment plan and just start paying

It's his child - he will be ordered to pay support. Anything she signed is not going to stand up in Court because she cannot waive her legal rights, one of which is support for her child.

He can't create life and then walk away from it.
