    Changing child's last name
I had a child out of wedlock many years ago, she kept my last name. I would like to change her last name to mine but cannot afford an attorney. She is now 14 years old and the biological father has never been involved in her life or ever paid child support. Can I do this and how much would this cost?? Any help is much appreciated.

Your going to have to do it through the courts which means he will have to be notified. Why no child support ?

By that I assume she has your maiden name and now you want to change it to your married name?

A name change is a legal issues and has to be approved by a court. You should consult your local family court for the process and cost.
