    Central A/C does not start
My central A/C does not start. It is a slip unit with blower in the garage and compressot and heat pump in the back yard. When termostat is set below the room tempt you here a click... but won't start. I check breakers on the electric panel, on the blower switch and the compressor breaker outise on all of them are fine. THe unit does not seem to have a fuse. I reset the termostat, and fuse from the termosat. Noting yet

Is the blower on the furnace running? Or is just the outdoor unit not responding?

If nothing is working. There is probably a 5 amp fuse on the control board of the indoor unit. If it is just the outside unit not working could be low on freon, or a high pressure switch is triped.

There should be a control board on the top door left side of your blower unit

If you do have a control board the fuse will look like one form your car small 3 or 5 amp

A very common problem is a bug will get itself caught inside the contactor and prevent the shorting bar from closing... Also seen it where one set of contacts will weld themselves together preventing the contactor from closing. I would start there.

But he said nothing is working,, inside airhandler or outside unit
He was advised to look for fuse in the circuit board, but knot knowing the name brand or model numbers its hard to give advice as to where the circuit board might be located , WE NEED MORE INFO,, to help,, it could be that you have an electric airhandler,, which probably won`t have a circuit board lke a gas unit has

The bug in the contactor s a good place to start,, after you are sure there is high voltage power (230 V) and low voltage power (24 v) at the outside unit
Let us know, with more information
